In celebration of International Museum Day 2026, Asaan unveiled its inaugural heritage audience research and white paper, How Saudi Youth Are Shaping the Future of Heritage, during a special interactive workshop held at the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture.

The white paper represents the culmination of a year-long research initiative that combined quantitative and qualitative methodologies across multiple regions of the Kingdom, providing valuable insights into how young people perceive, engage with, and contribute to Saudi heritage.

Bringing together cultural practitioners, researchers, creatives, and community members, the workshop explored how heritage can be experienced as a living and participatory part of everyday life. Through a series of interactive discussions and collaborative sessions, participants reflected on the research findings and examined the evolving role of museums and cultural institutions in fostering meaningful community engagement.

The event concluded with a set of recommendations aimed at supporting the cultural sector and strengthening connections between heritage and future generations. These insights were incorporated into the final white paper, creating a valuable resource for cultural organizations, practitioners, and decision-makers across the Kingdom.
