Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, 19 November 2025 – Misk Heritage Museum “Asaan”, the newest cultural initiative launched by the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation “Misk”, marked a key milestone in its journey by taking part in Misk Global Forum (MGF).
At its first-ever presence at MGF, Asaan brought its mission to life, encouraging Forum attendees to discuss and engage with Saudi heritage, connecting young Saudis with their past, and empowering youth to play an active role in shaping the future of Saudi heritage.
The highlight of Asaan’s participation at MGF was its Heritage Case Study Workshop, where Saudi youth were invited to develop creative and practical solutions to challenges within the heritage sector. Their insights will contribute to a forthcoming heritage white paper – a collective reflection on how the next generation can protect, reinterpret and shape the future of Saudi heritage.
As part of its activations for MGF, Asaan also hosted a panel discussion with heritage and cultural experts, exploring storytelling as a tool for youth-led engagement, highlighting how creativity and participation can sustain living traditions and ensure heritage remains an evolving, collective experience. Asaan also invited visitors to experience its mission firsthand through a series of immersive activations that made heritage vibrant, relevant, and alive. At its booth, attendees discovered a multi-sensory experience where technology met tradition and installations bridged the past and future – demonstrating how creativity and innovation can bring cultural connection to life and inspire a renewed appreciation of heritage.
Khaled Al Saqer, CEO of Asaan, said: “Our participation at the Misk Global Forum showed how heritage can come alive through the creativity and energy of young people. When youth take the lead, heritage stops being a memory of the past and becomes a force shaping the future. Every song, story, and tradition takes on new life in their hands, renewed, reinterpreted, and shared with pride. That is what Asaan stands for: giving young people the space to shape how our heritage lives on.”
Asaan’s participation at Misk Global Forum was demonstrative of its mission to make heritage an active force for innovation and dialogue – showcasing how heritage can inspire new ideas, foster cultural confidence, and connect generations through shared experiences. The museum’s presence at MGF reflected a forward-looking approach, one that positions young Saudis at the center of preserving, interpreting, and reimagining their heritage for the future.
The Asaan Museum is currently under construction in the heart of historic Diriyah. It is set to open in the next few years, creating a new cultural landmark. Designed as a space where history meets innovation, the museum will showcase thousands of heritage artifacts and collectibles that tell the stories of Saudi generations. Through interactive exhibits and inspiring design, it will connect visitors to the timeless essence of Saudi identity, celebrating heritage not as a relic of the past but as a living foundation for the future.
